NOS 60s J.M Weston Uwing tip

1960年代〜70年代製造と思われる、JMウエストンのU-wing tipだ。1960年と言うことは、旧旧旧旧ロゴになるのだろうか？ウエストンの年代確定は未だに、確立されておらず正確な特定はできていない。しかし、ディテール・アウトソール・ソックシート・ライニングの質感などから、相当古いペアと推定している。アッパーには、きめ細かく滑らかなカーフレザーが使用されいる。ソールはダブルソール仕立て、トップリフトは積み上げ・トップピース仕様となっている。ディテールは1950年代のアメリカンビンテージシューズを彷彿とさせる、Uwing tipは相当レアなペアだ。私の印象では1970年代と思われるペアにもU wing が存在していたので、割りかし長い間製造されたと考えている。まず、1960年代ウエストンはまず市場に出回らないため、是非押さえて置きたいペアだ。


J.M Westonとは
1891年、エドゥアール・ブランシャール氏がフランス・パリ近郊のリモージュにブランシャール社を創業したのが、シューズメーカー「ジェイエムウエストン」の歴史の始まり。当初は機械での大量生産を行っていたが、留学の際にグッドイヤー・ウェルト製法を研究していた息子・ユージェーヌ氏の帰国後、機械と職人の仕事を組み合わせた生産ラインを考案。これがジェイエムウエストンの礎になる。1922年、パリに直営の１号店をオープンし、「ジェイエムウエストン」に改名。その10年後、現在のジェイエムウエストン本店であるシャンゼリゼ通り店をオープン。2001年、著名ままな靴デザイナー、ミッシェル・ペリーを招き、伝統とモダンを組み合わせたコレクションを加える。
